'Cobra Kai' Star Ralph Macchio Has Season 6 News

Cobra Kai fans, you may want to get back to practicing your karate skills.

Season 5 may have landed on Netflix in September, but viewers are already itching to get back into the dojo for season 6.

While there hasn't been any word from the streamer, Cobra Kai cast member Ralph Macchio (a.k.a. The Karate Kid himself) just teased the show's future.

In a recent interview with Us Weekly, he was asked whether Cobra Kai was getting renewed for a season 6.

While he admitted he didn't know too much about the status of the hit drama, he did say the cast and crew have a good hunch they'll get good news very soon.

"It hasn’t officially been picked up. I need to say that because that is the truth," Ralph told the outlet.

"[But] we’re feeling pretty good that we’ll get to continue the show and let it evolve and land when it needs to."

While it's not a confirmation, at least it's something for everyone to hold on to! But what else could there be in store should a new season happen?

As Ralph continued relaying to Us Weekly, the direction for season 6 might be led by fans' feedback to the writers' room.

"These guys, Jon [Hurwitz], Josh [Heald] and Hayden [Schlossberg], who write this show, are just so great at [having] their finger on the pulse of what the fans want," he told the magazine.

"They are the fans themselves ... There’s more meat on the bones there. But it’s gotta be entertaining and organic and I think there’s plenty of places to go every season."

If that's any indication, then there's still a lot of "wax on, wax off" to do for Daniel LaRusso, Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka) and their karate students.
